I stayed at La Vela Saigon Hotel for 3 nights. My first impression was good. The lobby is clean and bright. The reception staff is friendly and efficient. The welcome drink and the hotel’s location, with many restaurants and cafés nearby, were definite highlights. Unfortunately, the rooms were my biggest disappointment. I booked 2 rooms with balcony. Both rooms and balconies were much smaller than I expected, and they were not cleaned . The hallway to the rooms was also very hot. When I entered the rooms, they were hot and had musty smell. The rooms did not seem properly prepared for arriving guests. The room phones were not working. After contacted the front desk from my cell phone , I had to wait over an hour and call them again to get someone came to fix the issues. Even after three nights, the musty smell never completely disappeared. The hotel breakfast buffet offered many choices, but the quality was average. The best features of this hotel are the lobby and the infinity pool. Overall, my experience was average, and the hotel doesn’t meet its five stars level. I hope the hotel improves its room preparation and maintenance in the future.

Spacious clean rooms. Rooftop pool is nice.

One night stay on a long layover. Room was clean and perfect for our needs. Close to the airport, we used grab to tour the cbd market area.

Good location and convenient to shop and restaurants.
